# First Login

This guide walks you through your first time logging into the system and what to check before you start using it.

### When to use this

Use this the first time you log in, or anytime your access has just been set up.

### Steps

#### 1. Go to the login page

* Open the login link provided by your clinic
* Enter your email and password

***

#### 2. Sign in

* Click **Log In**
* Wait for the dashboard to load

***

#### 3. Confirm you are in the correct clinic

After logging in, make sure:

* The clinic name is correct
* You are not in the wrong location

If anything looks off, stop and contact your clinic admin.

#### 4. Check your name and role

Make sure:

* Your name is correct
* Your role (nurse, manager, admin, etc.) is correct

Your role controls what you can and cannot do in the system.

#### 5. Make sure you can access what you need

Depending on your role, test the following:

* Can you search for a patient?
* Can you open the Visits section?
* Can you start a new visit (if applicable)?

If something is missing, it is usually a permissions issue.

### If something isn’t working

#### You cannot log in

* Double-check your email and password
* Make sure there are no typos
* Contact your clinic admin if needed

#### You are in the wrong clinic

* Stop using the system
* Contact your clinic admin immediately

#### You cannot access something you need

* This is usually a role issue
* Ask a clinic admin to update your permissions

### Before you start using the system

Make sure:

* You are in the correct clinic
* Your role is correct
* You can access the sections you need

Do not start logging visits or making changes until everything above is confirmed.

This helps prevent:

* Incorrect records
* Inventory issues
* Compliance problems
